Healthcare Trustees of New York State (HTNYS) is an affiliate of the Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS). HTNYS serves trustees statewide through a Board of Governors which establishes policy for the organization. Since, 1991, HTNYS' operations have been supported annually, in part, by a financial commitment from HANYS. Any institution that is a HANYS member is served by HTNYS.

HTNYS enhances the governance skills of trustees through a variety of educational products. This includes enhancing the skills of board leadership and the chief executive officer, who serves as an integral part of the governance team.

How Do We Help Trustees Serve As Effective Leaders?

participating in the governing process
representing the interests of their communities
being continuously educated
exercising effective leadership
