Bookmark and Share

As part of its ongoing effort to educate trustees about their governance roles and responsibilities, Healthcare Trustees of New York State (HTNYS) is offering two additional audio programs this fall.

On October 28 from noon to 1 p.m., governance expert Larry Walker will discuss Fiduciary Fundamentals of trustees. Specifically, Mr. Walker will explore the board’s fiduciary responsibility, obstacles to meeting fiduciary responsibility, and the Internal Revenue Service’s (IRS) expectations for good fiduciary governance.

On November 12 from 9 to 10 a.m., Keith Hearle, President of Verite Healthcare Consulting, LLC, and Michael W. Peregrine, partner in McDermott Will and Emery LLP, will provide an overview of the new disclosures required by the updated Form 990 and discuss the implications for hospital trustees. The Updated IRS Form 990 and Schedule H: Implications for Hospital Trustees is designed to educate trustees about their responsibilities associated with the new IRS requirements.

These “portable educational” opportunities are available at no cost to HTNYS and HANYS members and are an ideal way for board members to access quality education

from the convenience of their own office or home by simply dialing the phone.
