Healthcare Trustees of New York State 2009 Governing Board Profiles Available on the Web

Detailed profiles about the 2009 Board of Governors of Healthcare Trustees of New York State (HTNYS) are now available on HTNYS’ Web site by clicking on “About Us” in the left menu. Richard H. Hawks, Jr., Treasurer and Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors of Thompson Health, was re-elected Chairman in January. In addition, the Board elected the following officers to serve one-year terms: Vice Chair, Sarah J. Schermerhorn, a trustee at Ellis Hospital; Secretary/Treasurer, John Lane, a trustee at Winthrop-South Nassau University Health System; and Immediate Past Chair, Stephen L. Albertalli, a trustee and past president of the Board of Directors of Corning Hospital.

The Board also elected three new board members to serve for three-year terms: Stephen Jan Eberhard, Board Chairman at Arnot Ogden Medical Center; Brenda Ireland, Vice Chair at WCA Hospital; and Ronald Milch, Secretary of the Board at Metropolitan Jewish Health System.

HTNYS is a not-for-profit membership organization dedicated to strengthening the governance of New York’s non-profit and public health care facilities.
